Privacy policy
SMOKO ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist, vote for a flavour or reserve a box.
- Your choices and answers, such as the pack, flavour and plan you pick, and any survey answers you give.
- How you found us, such as the ad campaign or website that referred you (UTM tags and referrer).
- Usage data collected by cookies and similar tools from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Analytics, such as pages viewed and the device and browser you use.
How we use it
- To send you launch updates, founding-member offers and news about SMOKO.
- To understand demand for our product, which flavours and packs people want, and which ads work.
- To show you relevant ads on other platforms, such as Facebook and Instagram.
We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run this site: Netlify (website hosting and form storage), Meta and Google (advertising and analytics) and, if you pay a deposit, Stripe (payment processing). Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States.
Emails and unsubscribing
By giving us your email, you agree to receive emails from SMOKO. Every email will include an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings. The site still works without them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing hello@YOURDOMAIN.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
